Public Notice: ReMA Board to Consider Changes to Recycled Plastic Specifications and Preamble

(April 21, 2025 – Washington, DC) – Following approval by the Plastics Division on April 8, 2025, the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) Board of Directors will consider the below proposed changes to Guidelines for Recycled Plastic at its upcoming Board Meeting in San Diego, CA.

Revised Specifications:

HDPE Natural Bottles

HDPE Colored Bottles

HDPE Injection Bulky Rigid Plastics

PE Colored Film

PE Furniture Mixed Film

PE Clear Film (Grade A)

PE Clear Film (Grade B)

Plastic Film Scrap Specifications (preamble)

The full Board may choose to adopt, amend, or reject the recommendations of the Division or table them pending further review. More information about the rules governing the procedures for the addition, amendment, or withdrawal of ReMA’s ISRI Specifications can be found at www.isrispecs.org. To submit comments, recommendations, or questions please contact Senior Economist Bret Biggers ([email protected]). If adopted or amended, there will be an open comment period for 30 days following the vote by the Board.
